So, I'm feeling kind of fun-- being that it's summer, and all...did everyone have a good long weekend? The weather here in NY is AMAZING.
You guys have made the start of the summer so sunshiny (even when it was raining). You've all been so kind, and I am delighted and humbled by how much you have embraced Rosaline. You've also made it clear you want to know what's coming next and, while I can't tell you what Book 2 is about, just yet, I am going to give you a little sneak peek...and then let you guess.
So tell me: Where do you want a snippet from? The beginning? Middle? Or end? Let me know in the comments and I'll choose a little something to post later this week!

The truth is I never know when an idea will pop into my head. Welcome to my life as a novelist.

Let's build a world. Explore what we believe by writing. In many ways my characters’ experiences with fate, destiny and free-will mirror my own. What is up to us and what isn’t? It’s one of the great questions of the human experience, I think. But no matter what is for us to control, we must own the identity. You’re a writer if you write. Period. Writing is a lovely way to spend one’s time. Enjoy it. And I hope you enjoy my writing here.
A snippet at the beginning -- that's my vote ... :)
ReplyDeleteFrom the middle :-)
ReplyDeleteI also say we should read a snippet from the beginning. I want to get inside the character's head and I want to be hooked by page 1! :-)
ReplyDeleteBeginning!
